Features and Benefits

e-llegiance™

e-llegiance™ provides a common platform for loyalty and payment integration through its smart chip applet for smart cards, smart chip-enabled devices and Point-of-Sale (POS) application software. e-llegiance™ is a rule-based engine that can be integrated with any POS terminal payment software, or any other application, such as transportation, gaming, access, security, or telecommunications, allowing the dynamic awarding and instant redemption of custom designed consumer incentives. Loyalty programs can be designed for a single merchant or a merchant coalition and can award any type of points, currency, or discounts.

The On-Card Database allows programs to be added dynamically, and assures that only the minimum amount of allocated card memory is used. This structure allows any number of loyalty programs to be carried on the card, limited only by the amount of memory in the chip.

  • Tender Independent – cash, check, magnetic-stripe cards, smart cards
  • Any customer identification device

Loyalty Central TM

Loyalty Central™ software and back office operations provide complete loyalty program management, transaction processing, accounting services, and redemption and fulfillment services.

Phoenix's backend loyalty processing system is the loyalty-clearing engine just as ACH is the payments engine for payments clearing. Loyalty Central™ is Phoenix's integration of the back-office software, data and methodology used to provide loyalty program management services.

It is a flexible, parameter driven platform that provides consumer and merchant account management, general accounting, settlement and disbursement. It is in essence, the transaction processing system and database repository for multiple loyalty applications. Phoenix can host Loyalty Central™ computer processing or clients can license the software to run in their own facility.

The Loyalty Central™ database represents a powerful repository of data collected at the point of service. As volume grows, the database will become a key source of valuable information for merchants and consumers. With emphasis on continuous availability, the system is designed to run 24x7, fully fault-tolerant, with automatic fail-over to backup systems in the case of hardware or software failure. It is designed to be fully scalable to any magnitude of processing power required and can host many clients or be dedicated to a single client.

“This system is perfectly timed for the market because it allows a client to use smart cards in the same program with bar codes and/or magnetic stripe cards”. “This will support Phoenix Technology customers, allowing them to conveniently migrate cards and POS terminals to advanced technologies in increments as small as one at a time, or whatever their business needs dictate. Given that financial card transactions are now becoming smart-chip based for enhanced security, Phoenix Technology offers a future-proof means of managing all customer loyalty programs on a single platform under patent protection. This is a dynamic and highly flexible rewards management system that will grow along with a client in the midst of ever-evolving card, payments and loyalty industries. Both retailers and consumers will benefit”.
